Celestial Crossroads: Mars, Regulus, and the 2025 Summer Solstice

Alexander Mallon Season 2 Episode 7

Send us a text

The cosmos speaks through celestial alignments, and the 2025 Summer Solstice delivers a powerful message as Mars conjoins the Royal fixed star Regulus – the Heart of the Lion. This rare alignment occurs precisely as the Sun reaches its highest point in the Northern Hemisphere, creating a 'perfect storm' of solar, martial, and regal energies that Astrologers throughout history would have recognized as monumentally significant.

Alexander Mallon and Dr. Peter Lanzalotta dive deep into this cosmic moment, exploring how these celestial forces are activating critical points in the United States' birth chart during its pivotal Jupiter return – a 12-year cycle of expansionism and opportunity building. Their conversation reveals how these celestial dynamics mirror earthly events, from military displays and international tensions to economic policies affecting everyday Americans.

The discussion takes a fascinating turn examining how the Mars-Regulus conjunction activates President Donald Trump's own natal chart placements, where he himself was born with Mars conjunct Regulus at his Ascendant – a literal embodiment of martial leadership and even aggressive energy. The parallels between Trump and Vice President JD Vance's charts reveal an astrological signature that speaks to their political partnership and public personas... both identify with being leaders and lions!

Beyond politics, this episode explores the spiritual significance of Solstices throughout human history. From Stonehenge to the pyramids of Egypt, our ancestors created monuments to track these cosmic turning points, understanding them as sacred times for connection between heaven and earth.

Dr. Lanzalotta beautifully articulates how we can use these seasonal shifts for soul development – the Summer Solstice representing outward expression and creative power, while the Winter Solstice invites introspection and release.

Whether you're fascinated by political astrology, spiritual growth through seasonal awareness, or the ancient wisdom encoded in the stars, this episode offers profound insights about how celestial forces shape our collective experience. Listen now to understand the cosmic blueprint unfolding during this extraordinary Summer Solstice, and discover how you might harness these energies in your own life.

** Addendum: This episode was recorded only two days PRIOR to the Trump executive order for U.S. troops to bomb Iran nuclear sites ... INDEED the exact manifestation of that Mars/Regulus activation of Trump's chart.

Speaker 1:

Welcome again to the Astrology of Family, karma and Relationships podcast. I'm your host, alexander Mallon, and today we again have the most wonderful special guest astrologer and host and theologian, dr Peter Lanzalotta. Thank you, peter, so much for coming.

Speaker 2:

So I'm so pleased you're here. It is my privilege, and I find that we are very simpatico, or that we have a synchronicity about us that allows us to work together as well as enjoy each other.

Speaker 1:

Indeed. And, of course, folks, astrologically speaking, Peter's chart and my charts do have that lovely Capricornian-Jup, jupiterian simpatico between us, which is a great thing. So let's get the show started here. Here we go. So, by all means, I'm so pleased always to have you, peter. Peter is a reverend, an astrologer, a counselor, a doctor of theology and spirituality. You can find him at One Spirit Coaching, as you see here on your screen, folks, one-spirit-coachingcom. So, peter, fill us in a little bit about yourself and your practice now, what you're doing as a practitioner.

Speaker 2:

After 30 years of ministry, with all of its bittersweet insights and memories, I now am dedicating myself primarily to interfaith spiritual direction and to spiritual life coaching, and in it, of course, I use astrology as one of my major tools in helping people to understand themselves and how best they can make the right decision for themselves.

Speaker 1:

Now, I believe you're also an author of a number of books.

Speaker 2:

Yes, yes, I have published five books and I'm working on two more. The first one was Spirit Time in the Future, and I'm reusing that one as a way of looking at how the spirit within and without will affect us throughout our lives. And then I have the four volumes of Seasons of the Soul, which is a daily wisdom journal, and the other one I am contemplating or working on is another view of each and every individual degree of the zodiac and applying my own understanding and intuitive insight to a new interpretation.

Speaker 1:

Wonderful. Well, we're looking forward to that, particularly as well as astrologers. People who are studying astrology might or might not know, peter, that each degree of the zodiac has a symbolization to it, and there are a number of different authors out there. One of the more famous, of course, dr Mark Edmund Jones, and also reinterpreted by the great Dane Rudhyar.

Speaker 2:

The Sabian symbols each degree of the zodiac, but you're creating a whole other interpretation based on others' work as well, and reinterpreting yes, Not to replace it, I wouldn't be that arrogant but to believe that each and every one of us can contact the degrees of the zodiac intuitively and see what they have as a message for our souls and how that can be universal wisdom for anyone else who reads what we have written.

Speaker 1:

So in a practical way, in a practical format, each degree of the Zodiac really talks about each person's birthday, that every individual person's birth date, your sun degree, placement in your birth chart, or your moon degree, or your ascendant degree, the mid-heaven degree, things that are really personal to a chart, those four degrees particularly, it gives you a more unique signature that just reading the sun sign could never give the sun sign could never give. And so each degree has its own symbol, its own energetic, its own sort of mythic, Gnostic meaning. Yeah, yes.

Speaker 1:

Interesting. Yeah, yeah, wonderful. Well, I love that. Okay, so returning here. So, indeed, thank you. I'm so pleased to always have you here. Peter's just a font of information for us. It's really great to work with you.

Speaker 1:

So today, our discussion again is this summer solstice of 2025, that we are having this summer solstice on June 20th, roughly 1044, I think it is in the evening from Washington DC. But I have a slide here to just talk about what the solstice is. Why are the solstices and the equinoctial points, those four turning points of the year? The summer solstice meaning the beginning of summer. The summer solstice meaning the sun being at its highest. The summer solstice meaning the sun being at its highest.

Speaker 1:

Every Neolithic stone, egyptian pyramidal stonehenge structure, all the Neolithic structures, all the stone dolmen, all the standing stone sites, all the great circles in Native American astronomy, archaeoastronomy, lore. Look at these solstice points like the summer solstice, the Sphinx, they say. If you stand at the Sphinx, the side of the Sphinx, and gaze westward at the summer solstice, sunset, the sunset sets right between the two great pyramids. And keep in mind, right, peter, that the pyramids are formed so incredibly, mathematically perfectly exact, within a minute degree or part of a degree, that this is no accident that these ancient stonehenge and pyramidal structures mark the passage of time, the calendar, if you will, the seasons, the standing sun at summertime. Right, they are key, known for the sun and its apparition on the solstices, like the summer solstice. What can you? What can you? We chatted a little bit before. I'm curious if you have ideas about that.

Speaker 2:

Those what came to me is that I wrote a sermon presentation on the sun, the soul and the solstice. That was received very well the Soul and the Solstice that was received very well, and in it I talked about it being one of the seasons of the soul and that the solstice is an opportunity in the summer to look at ways in which we can expand our awareness and our soulful life, and in the winter, it's how to integrate or release that that isn't useful to our soul or to our spiritual formation.

Speaker 1:

Take these times of calendar and soul as opportunities for you to reflect on your life path and the direction your soul is taking. So one of the factors that stands out literally is during the summer solstice. We'll have a couple of graphs here to show. But the sun's at its highest point in its yearly journey, so, above the equator, the summer solstice is that super high sun in the sky. I think of going to the beach, I think of going to the ocean, I think of you, know, enjoying sunbathing. But it is that solar force that is super high during the summer solstice and the solar force that is super low. The sun's very low during the winter solstice. And you're talking about the nature of the journey of the soul, of soul, s-o-l. The sun, the nature of soul and its journey throughout the year.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yes, and to respect those rhythms and to understand that this is an outward time of energy and connection, for adventure and exploration. Just like the winter, it's a time for nesting, introspection and releasing anything from the previous year.

Speaker 1:

So the astrology astronomy of it is summer solstice the longest day and the winter solstice the longest night, the summer solstice being out there creating. In astrology, those summer and springtime signs are about creation and the wintertime signs are about holding creation or stabilization, or the nest.

Speaker 2:

Very much a part of it.

Speaker 1:

yes, Right right on. So you know, we talked a little bit about this when we were kind of prepping the show. That certainly not in any way scholarly, my own learned ship and studies, but you know my own learned-ship and studies, but my attempt, you know, I think that there is something to be said for the circular astrology birth wheel and this ancient symbol of the journey of the sun around the earth every day, sunrise, sunset, and the journey of the sun yearly, like the solstices, and here we have, even in Buddhism, the eight-spoked dharma wheel that matches the Celtic cross and those four major equinox points and solstice points. We're at the summer solstice now, of course, 2025.

Speaker 1:

But of course, this astrology, this nature astrology, is a way of describing the journey of nature and these solstice times, the equinoctial times and even those cross-quarter seasons of Beltane, nunasa and, of course, in October, halloween. So those cross-quarter days that were so important. The ancients looked at nature and the cycles of nature is really the fundamental thing about astrology for me. So when we're talking about the summer solstice, this slide shows that of course, the sun is very high at noon hour during the summer solstice and during the winter solstice the opposite the sun is very low at noon hour in our sky. We can astronomically photograph the passage of the sun throughout the day. The summer solstice is the sun high, the mid-seasons when you have equal days and equal night length.

Speaker 1:

And then you know that midnight, that rather that I should say wintertime solstice, where the sun is very, very low to the horizon In the Arctic Circle, the sun never rises in the winter, you know. So it's important to understand astrologically, astronomically, the summer solstice is that super high sun in the sky, in other words, the summer solstice occurring June, July. We could say Cancer and Leo people, the sun's passing in front of the star pattern, or Cancer and Leo. Cancers and Leos are the show-offs of the zodiac, the outer world of success, and even the opposite sign, the wintertime solstice, capricorn, aquarius, marks the season of the changing world, the practical stabilization. Or, since you're an Aquarian, peter, you were saying not all Aquarians are necessarily practical, but I think of Ronald Reagan, Aquarian, and now, of course, I think of Dr Peter Lanzalotta, aquarian. So practicality isn't always the only Aquarian element of the winter solstice. There's that going within review. There's that going within review, there's that going within soulfulness.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I believe that the winter signs are more given to intuition, introspection, assessment, because they're working on their personal soulful growth and their internal clarity.

Speaker 1:

So, again, when we talk astrology, I like to tell my clients and students we're not talking about sun signs, the sun moving in front of a star pattern, or in other words, a calendar. I like to look at them as season signs. Like to look at them as season signs how a human psyche and a human culture collective moves through the season. You know the springing of springtime, the culmination of the summer solstice. You know the sun falling into fall and, of course, at winter solstice, the inward going man, literally. When I lived in Woodstock for 20 years in Woodstock, new York, I would commonly meet people occasionally at gatherings and if it was wintertime I'd say oh well, we're getting ready for holiday season, I'm sure I'll see you out there for Christmas or Hanukkah celebration. Oh, no, no, I'm going to my cabin, I'm going to do my art. I'll see you next spring. And I think you're joking right. No, no, I'm serious. I go to my cabin, I do my art, my inner introspective, creative work. I'll see you next spring. That's a true mountain.

Speaker 2:

And let me add this little cultural paradox, which is one of the reasons why the Christmas season is so difficult for people it's because the natural energies are inward, not outward. Commercial celebrations, parties oh, a very awkward ability to address culture when your body and your psyche wants to rest and go inward.

Speaker 1:

Indeed, well, it is the celebration the winter solstice, the winter solstice, christmas, hanukkah. They are the celebration of the sun will rise again. They're the celebration that, while it's the longest night compared to the summer solstice, the longest day, the winter is the longest night and we will light the menorah light, the candle, light, the hearth in the fireplace of our home to celebrate that the light will rise again eventually, but not for a little while yet. That's the winter solstice, the summer solstice.

Speaker 2:

That's the best interpretation of it, without the crass commercialism that our culture layers on it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so we're meant organically, like the proverbial bear that hibernates, to go within in the winter solstice.

Speaker 2:

Respect the rhythms.

Speaker 1:

But now here in late June, mid-late June, the 20th or 21st of June, the summer solstice, the human animal is out there literally giving birth to things, maybe to creatures, since creatures are born during the summer and we're birthing ourselves.

Speaker 2:

And expressing ourselves, allowing our physical being to be more forefront. You know this is the time of the year when more people get married, more people are out in the world. You know it's a whole different energy than the wintertime.

Speaker 1:

Indeed, right on. So when we talk astrology, we are talking these seasons, we are talking the summer season June 21st, we're talking the depth of winter, those two solstices, or sun soul, s-o-l, sun standing still in the sky, it's highest elevation summer solstice. It's lowest elevation summer solstice. It's lowest elevation winter solstice. Those are important astrological, astronomical things to understand. Now there's another big, major event happening during this 2025 summer solstice period, and that is that Mars in the sky has been very high in the sky for the last half a year, starting really September, certainly, even like Thanksgiving pardon me, halloween time. Last year, 2024, mars was in the sign of Leo and very high in the sky, and Mars is conjoined right now, as of June 2025, the fixed star, regulus, this bright star in the constellation of Leo. Here we see a graphic, for those who are watching us, that shows the sickle of Leo, the mane of Leo and those other body stars, kind of the tail end or the rump of Leo, denebola and Regulus, kind of at the elbow or the heart of the lion. Regulus is the heart of the lion. So we have Mars in the sky.

Speaker 1:

I'll show you a graphic in a second Mars in the sky conjoining the heart of the lion, during this month of June 2025, just before the summer solstice, and it's one of the Regulus, one of the four royal stars of Egypt. It marks the turning of the seasons, the turning of the seasons and Regulus, the watcher of the north, marking the summer solstice. So here we have the graphic that shows us astronomically, from roughly June 15th to June 18th 2025, mars is very, very close observationally to the fixed star Regulus, essentially almost like a you can imagine a total solar eclipse, peter, where the moon covers the sun or, in this case, where a planet occults a star. So Mars is about two degrees, I think two and a half degrees, but observationally very close to the fixed star regulus, during this midsummer time, this summer solstice time of June.

Speaker 2:

When we think of Mars, we think of the word action, and action in a Virgoian way has more of an emphasis on sixth house or Virgo topics like health, employees, daily routine and service to others. And this bars attention to says where do we focus our caring and how is it in tension with the heart of the lion that wants to do big things and express itself, and where does that tension lie in our culture?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you know I like to join. You know those of you who know me as a super avid backyard astronomer as well as a pro astrologer of many decades myself. I was even at my observatory last night until about three in the morning having a grand old time at the eyepiece. So I really love to join which it is, joined astronomy with astrology. That's what astrology is.

Speaker 1:

So Mars, it's good to remember, is a two-year orbit around the Sun. Mars is a two-year cycle, therefore, that we all have Mars, the circle of spirit, like the glyph or symbol on the birth chart for both astronomers and astrologers, mars is symbolized by a circle of spirit and an arrow of directed will. Circle of spirit and an arrow of directed will. As you were saying, mars is directed willpower, directed spirit, force, and it's a two-year cycle that we all have. So interesting. We'll talk about President Donald Trump, who has a very prominent Mars-Pluto probably Mars-Regulus conjunction in his birth chart. Trump has Mars right on this heart of the lion, this royal star of the four royal stars of Egypt that marked the turning of the seasons. Regulus is the royal star of the four royal stars, the heart of the lion, the leader, the heart of the leader, and Donald Trump has in his birth chart Mars right next to Regulus. So this Regulus-Mars conjunction of 2025 is right on Donald Trump's chart.

Speaker 2:

We'll talk about that today for his raw, strong, definite power and his attraction to power and to control of things.

Speaker 1:

Let's talk about that theme, kind of bring that theme along with us as we talk about this summer solstice of the sun being very high, the sense of self being very in the outer world and doing Exalted.

Speaker 2:

Exalted.

Speaker 1:

And then, of course, this astronomical Mars on the fixed star Regulus, the heart of the lion, during this June of 2025. Mars has been hovering in that Leo sector since September October of last year when the cycle began. It was literally like early December when Mars really went retrograde in the sign of Leo opposite Pluto in the sky. By the way, another important factor of this time we'll talk about.

Speaker 2:

So it's no accident that on his birthday he wanted a parade that celebrated himself.

Speaker 1:

A true martial event. Here we have the chart of the US, not to redirect here, but we did talk about having this chart of the US, what's called the Evangeline Adams, a famous astrologer of the 1900s, 1910, 1915, 1920. This was the time of birth that Evangeline Adams thought. The Declaration of Independence was signed July 4th 1776, 2.13 in the morning in Philadelphia, which, in the US chart, would give us a Gemini rising chart. Now, when we look at the summer solstice of 2025, most astrologers take the birth chart of a person or a nation and wrap around these transits, what's happening, cycles which we have here shown in our chart wheel, the US chart being a 12-degree cancer nation with Jupiter and Venus and Mars near it. When we were born, when the Declaration was signed, july 4th 1776. So here at the summer solstice, hey, we're 12 days away from having our birthday. You know July 4th is upcoming here after the summer solstice every year. So we see the sun near the sun, the sun presently in today's sky.

Speaker 2:

It activates that second cusp, and the second cusp traditionally has to do with money, food, diet, but things of worth, things of value, things that we want to hang on to.

Speaker 1:

Well, and what's important right here is the Peter, forgive me we have, in the summer solstice, the transiting sun with transiting Jupiter.

Speaker 2:

So we have two major astronomical things happening, folks, problems concerning taxation, tariffs, inflation and just the cost of living. We could see these two very energetic sources, the sun and Jupiter, being right, front and center.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so there are two major things happening this summer solstice of 25. The sun-Jupiter conjunction that's approaching rapidly in the next few days. The fact that the US always has its birthday just after the summer solstice, every single year, on July 4th. So the sun's approaching the sun in the US chart and the US is having a 12-year orbit of Jupiter happening right now where for all humans, wherever the Jupiter is in your birth chart, it will take 12 years for it to return. So the US is having its 12-year Jupiter return. And Jupiter, the largest planet, does in fact coincide with largesse, or big things happening or grandiose things happening. So, for instance, we had the grandiose military parade. So, for instance, we had the grandiose military parade. We have grandiose demonstrations and Jupiter is extremes, is it not?

Speaker 2:

Peter, so, as you say in the second house, extremes of money there's very little. That's a moderate force in Jupiter. If anything, it may be blown out of proportion in order to express itself.

Speaker 1:

So Jupiter, also called Jove in other cultures, can coincide with cycles, 12-year cycles of things exacerbating. You know, in a way, when you look at a person, a client's chart, peter, I think most astrologers would say having a Jupiter return on your birthday would be very auspicious. So the US chart technically, in terms of largesse and expansion, has a 12-year super chart, super high. So the promise of Donald Trump to make America great again it's a hell of a potential right now, for certain people at least, for America to be made great again.

Speaker 2:

It's a powerful birthday chart that we're about to have here aspects, but at least we're getting a sense that this is going to be a time not for subtle energies, but for something that is going to be much more overt and having a lasting effect.

Speaker 1:

So, looking at the US chart, it says this Jupiter extreme, this Jupiter return, this 12-year career high. I call it for humans, for individuals, it implies our nation might have a 12-year career high. Notice folks too that this Jupiter cycle expansion, jupiter's expansion, jupiter return, age 12, age 24, age 36, these Jupiter cycles of expansion is what they coincide with for humans. So this Jupiter return in the US chart also had Jupiter on the US. Mars, jupiter expansion, mars, marshall, war, conflict or exercise of militarism.

Speaker 2:

Would you tie it into Greenland in the 51st state?

Speaker 1:

We're on the same wavelength here, yeah, so this is the Evangeline Adams US chart. This is called the Sibley chart that a lot of astrologers use. I use this Sibley chart where it says the declaration was instead signed at 5.10 pm on July 4th 1776. So here it brings this Jupiter-Sun conjunction in the area not of money, as the other chart suggests, but in the area of partnerships, business partnerships, affiliations, social or partner career partnerships, affiliations, social or partner career partnerships.

Speaker 2:

I would have to say what is it? Territorial agreements or those kinds of things?

Speaker 1:

Right? Well, this again would be partnerships such as economic partnerships, such as signing agreements or contracts.

Speaker 2:

Diplomacy, diplomacy, diplomacy.

Speaker 1:

Diplomacy right. We still have that Jupiter near Mars of Marshall. So we have the diplomacy on the one hand and the Mars militarism on the other that are both highlighted right now. So just a thought how many times in history do nations find that post-war or post-military operations there's an economic boon cycle for the winner? Right now, this immediate week of the summer, solstice 25. As we have Israel bombing Iran this week of the solstice 2025, this Jupiter expansionism, this expansionism theme is very high in the US chart, but also, too, that Regulus-Mars conjunction in the Sibley chart in this 5.10 pm chart. The Mars Regulus, mars, marshall, mars, the military parade, the Marshall factor, with Regulus Regulus, the heart of the lion, the king.

Speaker 2:

And it has to do with the ninth house, which is courts and judges and lawsuits.

Speaker 1:

And it's right, on the black moon of the US chart, the US has the moon in 27 Aquarius, with the afternoon signing of the Declaration, the moon at 27 Aquarius opposite 27 Leo black moon. For those of you who don't know what the black moon is, the black moon is a mathematical point. It is where the moon is most distant in its orbit from the Earth at any given moment. And since the moon is moving away from the Earth at one, what is it? One inch per year, that's an interesting astronomical thing. The black moon is kind of like the collective underbelly, like the dark unprocessed id.

Speaker 2:

I call it the unprocessed id or underbelly what's been neglected, abused, abandoned, all those kind of things.

Speaker 1:

So to have the Regulus Mars conjunction by transit now on the US black moon opposing the US moon. In political astrology the moon in a nation's chart describes the people. The moon in a nation's chart describes the people Like we have in our birth chart for the US. We have the Pluto-South Node-Moon conjunction here. It says that our birth of signing this Declaration of Independence a July 4th, a Cancer-Leo combination kind of a chart, that summertime chart. It's about the people in birthing something in opposition.

Speaker 1:

And with the black moon, many people in this country feel neglected, abandoned ostracized Well in the natal chart of the US moon, yeah, that black moon opposite the US moon, the moon, the people. Let's not forget part of how we were founded Pluto is plutocracy, pluto is the dictator. So dictators opposite Pluto, opposite the US sun. For the US chart says we were born to oppose dictatorship, to oppose monarchy, to oppose being governed, and yet even our birth had slavery, had the indigenous peoples of Native America were annihilated. Pluto-moon conjunction that talks about annihilation of the people. So you know, our very birth chart has these contrasts of being a cancer, july 4th. Nation, that's for the people, by the people of the people. Even our pledge of allegiance says and essentially with, with freedom and justice for all. And yet the opposition of the U? S chart says there is a, a balancing act that's being worked on as a nation. So this Mars regularis conjunction to Black Moon is a big one.

Speaker 2:

As much as I want to delve in here, we'll get into the whole thing of what's a politician versus a statesman. What is the conscience of the culture? Let's move on to the public events.

Speaker 1:

So that Mars is, as you said, Peter, in the ninth house of this chart courts, legal systems, legal actions and we've been having, this solstice time, some big deals with legal actions. We had our military parade, Mars, a military parade. Mars, Regulus, Regulus, the heart of the line, a military show and also people parading no Kings, no Kings Day.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, a citizen's march or a citizen's militia or whatever you wish to use, very clearly, a group reaction to injustice, to injustice.

Speaker 1:

Well, and since again, mars military, with Regulus, the heart of the lion, the king. There's a theme here that's astrologically unfolding in a big way. We also have ice raids.

Speaker 2:

We have people in California who have the militia there, the disenfranchisement of certain people at the expense or if you will, at the advantage of a very small group of people.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and that is that Mars-Regulus conjunction on the black moon, the hidden opposing the US moon, the people, indeed the people kind of having to rise up due to subjugation. I also wanted to mention, as we talked in our prep, Peter, we've had three solar eclipses cross our nation. The last time it happened was 120 years ago. We had three solar eclipses cross our nation 2017, 2021, 2024. And, in astrology speak, the actual total solar eclipse path is always a geopolitical hotspot. It talks about geopolitical and physical, like environmental, explosiveness. So from the West Coast to Charleston, South Carolina, where the Civil War began, the first shots rang out. That was 2017.

Speaker 2:

And where they all cross. There is this enormous turmoil on the west coast, very unusual flooding and fires and things of that sort. Terrible fires since 2000. In Texas we've had the droughts and the focal point of a lot of this immigration fiasco, the border. And then in the Midwest we've had fires and floods.

Speaker 1:

And tornadoes, like extraordinary flooding, extraordinary tornadic. In fact, when I went to see in Missouri the total solar eclipse of 2024, right along the eclipse path there were so many storms in Texas. Texas was supposed to be the place where it's going to be clearest, of course, that Mexican sky, the blue sky, but no, they were having horrific thunderstorms moving through, tornadic winds moving through and that whole eclipse path has been since 24 super hotspot active, with tornadoes, particularly destructive forces. Now, the important thing of these eclipses crossing across the nation, the way it has these eclipses you can see graphically divide the nation north from south, north from south, north from south. We see it. Even the solar eclipse of 2021 divided California and Mexico from the rest of the US, kind of right along the border states. So those are important, interesting graphics to see where these astronomical events, these eclipse paths, have crossed our nation. And indeed, wow, it even kind of reminds me, frankly, of the Confederate flag. I don't know why this cross sort of brings up imagery in my mind.

Speaker 2:

Well, let's not go there so well.

Speaker 1:

it talks about the challenge the challenge of the past, meeting the present and growing forward. So Donald Trump was born during a total lunar eclipse, when Mars as it is now 2025, mars was in Leo, conjoined the fixed star Regulus, right on Donald's chart. Here's Donald Trump's chart and here's that Mars and his birth chart conjunct, his ascendant conjunct, the fixed star Regulus.

Speaker 2:

And we see a disdain for logic, reason and science, for the sake of his own personal points of view and his own adamant desire to put himself forward as a monarch.

Speaker 1:

And you know, in astrology speak, he has his ascendant conjoined, regulus, the heart of the lion, the royal star of royal stars, and Mars was right there, conjoined to, when he was born. We're having a Mars-Regulus conjunction in the sky, as we showed you earlier, right on his ascendant. So he has a military parade for himself. Right, this is the chart of someone who might be very ego-driven, who might be very monarchical, kind of a monarch figure certainly who would feel themselves to have a prominent sense of self, right, wouldn't that be?

Speaker 2:

the case and very fiery against any criticism and also very impatient with anyone who doesn't agree with him.

Speaker 1:

And he's got that Pluto in his birth chart Trump does conjoined to that Mars. I think of Pluto, discovered 1930. I think of plutonium, discovered 1935. I think of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. And Pluto-Mars together Pluto-plutonium-Mars-the-TNT, mars-the-what-do-you-call-it, the fuse Mars-the what do you call it? The fuse? Mars the fuse, and Pluto, the plutonium, the combination Pluto-Mars conjunction, even some would say it's a one.

Speaker 2:

And of course, the leading issue with Iran is nuclear.

Speaker 1:

The leading issue. Well, this is one. When we were discussing Trump, perhaps even running for president when we were discussing Trump, perhaps even running for president I saw the Regulus-Mars conjunction in this chart. Conjoined to Pluto, this could be a war hawk, mars rising. By the way, the rising part of a chart rules the ascendant. The ascendant rules one's physical being born on the earth astronomically. Here's the earth being earthed. It's your body. And Mars is what color? Orange. What color is Donald? He's quite orange. So it's kind of a little bit of a joke, but it's true. If a person has Mars rising in their chart, when they get angry, they get flushed, they get red, they have a red face or get red in the cheeks. When they get angry or anxious, mars rising, people very typically have that. Mars sun conjunction will have that too. And here, mars, he is orangey. Mars is quite orangey astronomically.

Speaker 2:

Yes, what is it? He looks like Cheetos and acts like a taco.

Speaker 1:

There you go. Mars can join Pluto. Pluto rules monarchs, pluto rules dictators, pluto rules plutocrats. So Mars and Regulus intensifies his identification of himself as a Pluto, a plutocratic martial ruler.

Speaker 2:

He certainly doesn't suffer from humility.

Speaker 1:

And I arrow here that he was born during a total lunar eclipse, where the Earth's shadow covers the moon, covers one's emotions, family, emotional connection. The ego is highlighted as a daytime birth here at the top of the chart Conjoined Uranus, the planet that was discovered during the French and American revolutions. Donald Trump is indeed a revolutionary and he's also quite the monarch and even the dictator. Dictatorial monarch is what I would see from this chart. His emotions are cut off.

Speaker 2:

We will come back to Trump almost every time we have one of these podcasts.

Speaker 1:

His chart is so rich with symbolism. Here's the US chart again. Let's not forget that Mars-Regulus conjunction right now, that is right on a Mars-Regulus return for Donald Trump right now, highlighting his sense of personal power. It's dead opposite the US moon, so Trump's ascendant Mars-Pluto conjunction is dead opposite where the US moon is. The US moon in Donald Trump's chart falls at his marriage angle. So the US moon falls at Trump's marriage angle or partnership angle, and his martial quality falls in opposition to that. He is in opposition to the people. Is what that says? Regulus rising in his birth chart, as does Donald Trump. Donald Trump has got 29 Leo rising, vance has 27, almost 28 Leo rising. They both had the fixed star, regulus rising. The rising part of the chart. Peter talks about persona. Carl Jung called it persona how one packages or perceives oneself to rise to meet the outer world.

Speaker 2:

And in the traditional Greek persona is the mask you wear so that you can convey your position or your attitude towards life.

Speaker 1:

Interesting, the mask you wear, how you convey your position of self. Well, in Astrology 101, the Ascendant describes sort of collectively how we are wired, even at birth, how we are earthed to ascend to meet the demands of the outer world. It's quite interesting. Both of them, both Trump and JD Vance, have our sunrise babies. They are both babies who were born, Trump, late morning, Vance early morning. They're both born to rise to the outer world. You know who else had a morning chart like this? Bill Clinton.

Speaker 2:

A lot of politicians have a Well you know, as much as he may, as much as the pair of them are distasteful, you can't dispute their popularity or even having some charisma.

Speaker 1:

Right. So Leo rising Leo, people in general where the sun is at its highest Cancer and Leo that summer solstice time we're in. You know, the getting out in the world being of the world. A baby born during Cancer and Leo time. And Trump is born just seven days a week before the sign of Cancer. Donald Trump's a Gemini, born a week before Cancer. Jd Vance is born as a Leo and I always teach summertime babies. Mom's pregnant for nine months. Her belly is huge and a baby arrives when people are on vacation, when people are coming from all over for the birth of this child.

Speaker 1:

So many Leo cancers are family and social animals because that's what's happening as they're born. That's their wiring. That's also if you're a cancer Leo. As they're born, that's their wiring. That's also if you're a Cancer Leo, a Gemini Cancer, leo in this case. It also says that you come into mom and dad's family dynamic during this social season and mom and dad unconsciously have that baby as a highlight point of where they are in their world, their growth as a person. You're having a baby during the middle of summertime. Everyone turns out for your baby's arrival. So these guys are very family, ego, self-oriented people, as summertime babies can sometimes be. These charts certainly are regular, rising very strong.

Speaker 2:

Do we have any more for our people today?

Speaker 1:

That's what I've got so far, so I'm wondering what you think about it.

Speaker 2:

I think we've covered it then.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so what do you think about the fact that Vance has got a Venus-Regulus conjunction? Trump has a Mars-Regulus conjunction in their individual birth charts.

Speaker 2:

I think that there is a lot more braggadocio with Trump or of a wanting to appease not appease, but please the people who are, you know like he has trouble, when Vance has trouble, when people disagree with him, and Trump just doubles down and goes after them. Uh, I I think that there is a a great deal of disappointment in Vance's voice and I think that there's a quality of arrogance in Trump's voice.

Speaker 1:

So I think about that Venus rising in Vance's chart, where it reminds me of another Leo Venus rising person, bill Clinton. Both of them, vance and Clinton, have a similar chart structure in that there is this quality of Venus rising to charm, to charm, be charming and to aren't they talking about Vance using eyeliner or something? There's jokes about him looking like he's got eyeliner or something. This quality of charming people and being seductively charming people and being seductively charming.

Speaker 2:

So I I don't sense that he is seductive, as he is trying to be someone who Curry's favor or who was looking for allies that will support him and his in his quest for popularity. I in his quest for popularity. I don't know how strong that Venus is and whether it has lots of aspects against it, but I do think that he how do I say it? How do I say it? I think he relies too much on his life story and his appeal to common values and he doesn't like when people challenge his outlook on life.

Speaker 1:

I agree that's a good assessment. One of the last things I want to point out, if I may, is JD Vance, that Regulus Venus conjunction Donald Trump.

Speaker 2:

We haven't even gotten into his wife, yet that's another time Another time.

Speaker 1:

So Trump has a Mars-Regulus conjunction, mars-regulus-ascendant conjunction, vance has got a Venus-Regulus-Ascendant conjunction. That means that JD Vance has his Leo-Venus right on top of Trump's Mars-Venus right on top of Trump's Mars in Venus, and vice versa. Mars has Trump, rather has his Mars and Leo on top of Vance's Venus, and Leo and Venus-Mars usually you think of like sexual romantic relationships. Well, I guess you know they're in bed together. We could say that.

Speaker 2:

I don't think it's a bromance as much as it is? I don't think it's a bromance as much as it is. Trump knows he can control him and Vance knows he has to be in line with him in order to get any success.

Speaker 1:

Indeed. So I believe that one. I thought I had a slide for this, but maybe I didn't do it. Sorry that you were discussing. We'll come back. Had a slide for this, but maybe I didn't do it. Sorry that you were discussing. We'll come back to that slide for you. You were discussing that in the next few days there's a Jupiter-Sun conjunction and a new moon.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, when I read popular astrological literature literature, it is said that I believe it's the 24th or the 25th is the new moon, with Jupiter conjunct the sun, and they say that that is the most lucky or the most fortunate day of the year. Now I don't know where people are in that precarious world of gambling or taking risks or anything of that sort, but I would buy a lottery ticket.

Speaker 1:

President Trump said regarding Iran that he would give a two-week period thereabouts to make his decision about whether we are militarily at war with Iran or not. That's going to be in July, two weeks from now that this summer solstice now and the week to come with that Jupiter new moon phase, that that might imply a breakthrough, Because of course— Well, I'm hoping for at least a magnanimous quality.

Speaker 2:

Now that might be asking a lot, but maybe the Congress, with that tax bill, will not be so damn severe and they may at least put some elements of compassion or conscience back into it.

Speaker 1:

So that's one thing that you're seeing, particularly with the Evangeline Adams Gemini rising chart for the US, that the Jupiter falls in the second house of US money and so we might have an appeasement or a support or something that actually can work for the US populace in general. That is true, no matter how you slice it.

Speaker 2:

Also, all of the tariff decisions are going to come to roost during that time, and we'll see if he adds to the deadline again or whether he dumps the idea. You know, all I can do is hope for a generosity that hasn't been demonstrated.

Speaker 1:

Because Jupiter cycles, you're saying, usually coincide with a beneficence, some kind of the great benefactor, this quality of largesse, or big-hearted, or philosophical spiritual and altruism, and taking the law for its true conscience rather than just its power.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and so we're discussing the Jupiter transit with the new moon at the end of the month of June 2025. Now, the summer solstice at the end of this month, the new moon with Sun and Jupiter, so kind of a conglomeration of solar power. The summer solstice to the end of this month, the new moon with sun and Jupiter, so kind of a conglomeration of solar power. The summer solstice, jupiter, largesse and beneficence, and the new moon, kind of a new start, a new beginning, and Jupiter I love astronomically.

Speaker 1:

You know, only the last few decades have we proven this the ancients, thousands of years ago, when they attributed Jupiter to being the great one, the king or the Jupiter, the great benefactor, the great benefactor, jupiter is so huge that it gravitationally sucks in all the rubble and all the debris, cometary and so forth that allowed Earth to develop as it did geologically and environmentally, which allowed humans to be here, as it did geologically and environmentally, which allowed humans to be here. Had Jupiter not existed to suck in all that space rubble, life wouldn't have evolved the way it has. So Jupiter is the great god. They call Jupiter Gu in Vedic astrology.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and again, I don't wish to criticize something I don't know. But I don't wish to criticize something I don't know, but the universe as it has been created, obviously is a miracle and it's one that sustains us every day, and it is our choice to become wise, informed and compassionate with those universal truths.

Speaker 1:

So here's hoping that this, as you say, this lucky time to buy a lottery ticket at the end of June. Here's hoping, too, that that Jupiter pile up in Cancer, which falls right on the US chart, our birth chart, that it's a fecund time for the US, hopefully that we'll have some support, begin to happen more for the populace in general as well as the nation's welfare.
